Cars In The Yard: 1958 180 Mercedes Ponton
Posted by Sheila on Feb 24th 2020
It's been a few years since we've had a Ponton in our salvage yard,
though not for lack of trying. At over 60 years old, it's no wonder
these cars and the parts have gotten so hard to come by. While not the
most valuable of classic Mercedes these days, the Pontons are an
integral part of Mercedes-Benz history, and their unique rounded look is
sure to turn heads and draw a lot of attention.
So, it's very exciting to bring in this W120-Chassis 1958 Ponton with
the M121 Carbureted Engine. It's got some body damage and rust, but a
lot of good parts left on it as well.
For those of you working on a Ponton restoration project, please contact
us with your parts requests. Or, if you're working on a 190SL and need
some chassis-based parts we may be able to help you out, as there some
interchange crossover.
