I have been into cars for most of my life, and for each classic car I've owned, one of my favorite things to buy has been accessories for them. Not for the cars themselves, don't get me wrong, I mean things that relate to them. For example, I used to drive a 1961 Chevy Corvair. During my ownership of it I bought a Chevy emblem keychain, had a poster made of an old print advertisement (that's still on my wall), and I use the shift knob from long after I sold it as the topper for my cane. 

Sometimes, owning a classic car just isn't enough. You want to have little things that show how much you like it. You want other people to look at you and go "Oh... the old car in the parking lot, that must be theirs!" It's a great feeling! I've had people stop and ask me about my 1984 Volvo 244 because of the keychain that dangles from my purse. Each time I see it, it reminds me that classic car I've spent hours of time and wads of money on. It reminds me I am the one making sure it has a good life. It is as dear to me as any friend.
