R107 & C107 Chassis
Parts for the R107 & C107 Chassis Mercedes-Benz, Manufactured from 1971-1989. These vehicles are sometimes collectively known as the W107 Chassis and might be the most popular classic Mercedes, helped by the longest production period for global export of any Mercedes-Benz Chassis, as well as a very large demand in the US market.
In 1971 the R107 350SL Convertible and C107 350SLC Coupe were released with powerful V8 M116 engines, replacing the smaller, lighter, and under-powered W113 Chassis 280SL. The long production period meant that these new roadsters were produced with a variety of models and options over the years. from the 280SL, 280SLC to the very popular 450SL and 450SLC at the peak in the mid and late 70s, followed by the brief 380SLC & 500SLC until the termination of the C107 in 1981, then continuing with the 380SL & 500SL. At the end of production, the lightweight 300SL, the 420SL, and the heavily-powered 560SL kept production strong all the way through 1989.
