Used Running M116 Engine For Sale

The first 3.5 liter V8 produced by Mercedes was the the M116.980 and its twin, the M116.981. They found their way into the 1969 300SEL 3.5 in their first outing. The M116.980 series of engines would last be used by Mercedes in 1980, where they were were replaced by the larger 3.8 liter .960 series.
