Cars In The Yard: The 107s
This week we are celebrating a chassis that is the second-longest single chassis ever produced by Mercedes-Benz, after the G-Class, today we are welcoming two C107s to our dismantling facility. The C107 and R107's were produced with several engine variations including the 280 SL, 280 SLC, 300 SL, 350SL, 350SLC, 380SL, 380SLC, 420SL, 450SL, 450SLC, 450SLC 5.0, 500SL, 500SLC and 560 SL. With roughly 300,175 units produced, the C107 was by far rarer with a total production of 62,888 compared to the R107's 237,287. Although some engine variations are more collectible than others, the 107 chassis have proven to be a collectors car based on current market valuations. These Schwarz (Black) C107 has countless Genuine Mercedes-Benz parts that will contribute to keeping others roadworthy.

Fun Fact: The C107/SLC was a four-seat car with a fixed roof and an optional sliding steel sunroof. It replaced the W111 Coupe in 1971 and was replaced by the C126 S-class coupe in 1981 as 2-door, 4-seater options.
